Characteristics
● Coarse, widely-spaced thread ('plastic thread') for strong grip in soft materials.
● Sharp point — drives directly into MDF, particle board and softwood with little or no pre-drilling.
● Case-hardened (carburized) carbon steel — stronger than ordinary wood screws.
● Countersunk head sits flush with the surface; Phillips or Pozi drive.
● Available in carbon steel (zinc/phosphate finish) or stainless 304/316 for damp areas.
Uses
● Assembly of flat-pack and panel furniture (MDF, particle board, plywood).
● Kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, shelving and drawer units.
● General indoor woodwork and timber joinery.
